The city of Brantford and the County of Brant are nestled on the picturesque Grand River in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Brantford • Brant is a special place to live, work and play. Just a short drive from Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo, Brantford • Brant is in the centre of it all.

Brantford is sometimes known by the nickname "The Telephone City", after the city’s most famous resident Alexander Graham Bell who brought fame to Brantford when he invented the telephone on July 26th, 1874. The city was named after the Mohawk Leader Joseph Brant, who is buried nearby.

Proud to be the hometown of "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky, Brantford is a city where amateur and minor sports are a vital part of community life.

Brant County has some of the most pristine wildlife and groomed wilderness trails which make for a great escape to the country. There are many types of outdoor adventure to explore: kayaking, canoeing, hiking or biking in Brant County’s "Good Nature".

Brantford • Brant prides itself on the quality parks and trails it provides season after season for residents and visitors to enjoy. The City’s gorgeous private and public gardens have been recognized with several titles in the Communities in Bloom competitions.

Brantford • Brant takes pride in its multi-cultural diversity. For over 30 years Brantford has hosted the International Villages Festival held in July, when ethnic groups set up villages around the city and offer traditional food, a multitude of cultural activities and share cultural exhibits.
