Canada believes that all children have the right to a publicly funded (free) education in the official language of choice, either English or French.  As a Brantford resident, you can enrol your children in a public elementary or secondary school at no cost. Brantford also has Catholic and private school systems.

Brantford and Brant County are proud to be home to a variety of learning opportunities for everyone.

  • Laurier University Brantford Campus opened its doors to students and to higher education in September 1999.
  • Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology has enjoyed growth in Brantford for over 30 years.
  • Nipissing University, in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University, came to Brantford to offer a unique, concurrent education program where the students receive a B.A. from Laurier and a B.Ed. from Nipissing.
