The city of Brantford and the County of Brant are located on the beautiful Grand River in the centre of Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Brantford•Brant is a special place to live, work and play. Just a short drive from Toronto, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Buffalo, Brantford•Brant is in the centre of it all.
Brantford is sometimes known as "The Telephone City", after the city’s most famous resident Alexander Graham Bell who brought fame to Brantford when he invented the telephone in 1874. The city was named after the Mohawk Leader Joseph Brant.
Proud to be the hometown of "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky, Brantford is a city where amateur and minor sports are a very important part of community life.

Brant County has wildlife and groomed wilderness trails which make for a great escape to the countryside. There are many types of outdoor adventures to explore such as kayaking, canoeing, hiking or biking in Brant County’s "Good Nature". Brantford•Brant prides itself on having quality parks and trails that residents and visitors can enjoy season after season. The City’s gorgeous private and public gardens have been recognized several times in the Communities in Bloom competitions.
Brantford•Brant takes pride in its multi-cultural diversity. For over 30 years Brantford has hosted the International Villages Festival. Held in July, ethnic groups set up villages around the city to offer traditional foods, cultural activities, and educational exhibits.
